- Cannon River Winery - www.cannonriverwinery.com You can sample and/or purchase wines, and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. The winery serves gourmet cheese, crackers, bread and olives. They also offer some cooking classes, and have entertainment at certain times or at release parties.
- The Cannon Valley Trail - This beautiful, fully paved trail is one of the most popular biking trails in Minnesota. It parallels the Cannon River from Cannon Falls to Red Wing (about 20 miles), through the gorgeous Cannon River Valley. The trail is also groomed for cross-country skiing in the winter. - The Cannon River provides an excellent opportunity for canoeing, tubing or kayaking. The gently flowing river cuts through limestone hills so that bluffs and cliffs rise on either side making for a very pleasurable experience. - The Mill Street Tavern features lunch and dinner selections ranging from sandwiches to complete meals, creative salads and desserts. It is a warm and friendly atmosphere in a beautifully restored 1903 building. Full service bar. Outdoor Patio.
- Several antique and specialty shops, a bakery, and other stores are located in the central district of Cannon Falls, (about 2 blocks from The Quill & Quilt).
- The Cannon Falls Historical Museum, located in the old Fireman’s Hall about 4 blocks from us, offers information on the town’s history. Guided tours of the museum, as well as Cannon Falls, are available for groups by pre-arrangement. - Many local festivals and events occur in Cannon Falls ranging from Deck the Falls being the holiday festival. There are also two art fairs, Frog Creek Harvest Festival the 3rd weekend in September, and the Sogn Valley Art Fair, the 1st weekend in October. - State Amateur Baseball (summer), Cannon Falls High School Football (fall), and Baseball (Spring) are played at John Burch Stadium, and are all open to the public. The stadium is located directly behind the Quill & Quilt. On Mondays in August, outdoor live music and movies are presented as well.
